There is a lot of information on the internet about cancer, but it can be hard to know what’s true. These websites have been reviewed by OncoLink and found to be trustworthy and up-to-date.

The National LGBT Cancer Network

The first program in the U.S. to address the needs of LGBT people with cancer and those at risk. They work to improve the lives of LGBT survivors through education, increasing awareness, and advocacy. Includes a listing of LGBT-friendly cancer treatment centers in the United States.

LGBT Cancer Network

The National LGBT Cancer Project is the United States' first Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender cancer survivor support and advocacy nonprofit organization. Their online support group community, Out With Cancer, is committed to improving the health of LGBT cancer survivors with peer-to-peer support, patient navigation, education, and advocacy.

National LGBT Health Education Center

The goal of the National LGBT Health Education Center is to optimize quality, cost-effective health care for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people by providing educational programs, resources, and consultation to healthcare organizations.

The Gay and Lesbian Medical Association

Provides resources for LGBTQIA individuals to improve their communication with medical providers, including “10 things” lists with guidance on navigating conversations with providers. Their website also includes an LGBTQ+ friendly provider directory

Cancer Care

Provides support services and education to the LGBTQ+ community, including online support groups for LGBTQ+ persons coping with cancer.

OutCare

The goal of OutCare is to achieve health equity for LGBTQ+ individuals through comprehensive resources, education, and support groups. They also include resources for medical providers like health equity training.
