In Limbo

Things should go back to normal now
At least that's how you feel
You've had your cancer treatment
And have survived the ordeal

But now you find yourself in limbo
Not knowing which way to turn
Life as you knew it is gone
And you know it can¹t return

Cancer has been your focus
But the treatment is now complete
You need to find a new purpose
Maybe another foe to defeat

You want to feel your cancer is cured
But you really can't be sure
You will always have some doubt
And never feel really secure.

You try to get on with things
Live your life as before
But you're stuck in limbo
Like a boat unable to reach the shore
