Radiology Tests

Dexa Scan

Dexa scan, also called dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry or a bone mineral density scan, is a radiology test that uses x-rays to measure the density (or strength) of the bones.

Bone Survey

A bone survey, also known as a skeletal survey, is a series of X-rays that evaluates the major bones of the body.

CT Scan (Cat Scan)

This article provides information about what a CT scan is, how it is performed and how you can obtain your results.

Ultrasound

Information about ultrasound, what it is used for, how to prepare for and what to expect and how results are reported.

Lower GI Series (Barium Enema)

A lower GI series uses x-rays to help diagnose problems of the large intestine, which includes the colon and rectum. A lower GI series is sometimes called a barium enema because the large intestine is filled with barium liquid.

Mammogram

A mammogram is an imaging test that takes x-rays of the breasts to screen for breast cancer.

IRM (imagen por resonancia magnética)

Una resonancia magnética, or una de imágenes por resonancia magnética, es una prueba medica que le permite al proveedor de atención medica observar los órganos internos utilizando imanes y onda de radio.

Upper GI Series (Barium Swallow)

An upper GI series, also called a barium swallow, uses x-rays to help diagnose problems of the upper gastrointestinal (GI) tract.

Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (3D Mammography)

Breast tomosynthesis, or 3D mammography, is a technique using X-rays to produce a three-dimensional picture of the breast. This method results in fewer callbacks, repeat testing and biopsies and is also better able to detect cancers than traditional 2D mammogram.
