American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA)

American Pain Society
An organization with a mission to serve people in pain by advancing research, education, treatment and professional practice.

American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) OnLine
Home page of organization providing professionally edited information and intera ctive services for patients and professionals. A tremendous amount of information ranging from professional meeting schedules to cancer health policy statements and ASCO news is provided.

American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO)
Home page of organization with stated mission to advance the practice of radiation oncology by disseminating the results of scientific research, providing opportunities for education and professional development of its members and promoting a health care environment conducive to optimal patient care.

Cancer.Net
Provides timely, oncologist-approved information to help patients and families make informed health-care decisions. All content is subject to a formal peer-review process by the Cancer.Net Editorial Board, composed of more than 150 medical, surgical, radiation, and pediatric oncologists, oncology nurses, social workers, and patient advocates.

CancerBACUP
Aims to help people live with cancer by providing information and emotional support for patients, their families and health professionals. It is recognized as the foremost provider of cancer information in the United Kingdom.

Cancer Society of New Zealand, Inc.
The aim of the Society is to minimize the impact of cancer on New Zealanders.

The International Union Against Cancer (UICC)
Devoted exclusively to all aspects of the worldwide fight against cancer. Its objectives are to advance scientific and medical knowledge in research, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cancer and to promote all other aspects of the campaign against cancer throughout the world. UICC recently launched a companion website for cancer control professionals and volunteersThe Global Cancer Control Community (www.uicc-community.org). Members of the Community network with peers around the world, share and access information, discuss and debate cancer control issues and contribute to UICC World Cancer Congresses.

International Ostomy Association
An association of ostomy associations, committed to the imporovement of the quality of life of ostomates and those with related surgeries, worldwide.

Melanoma Research Foundation
A non-profit organization founded by melanoma patients and survivors to fund melanoma research.

Radiological Society of North America (RSNA)

Society of Gynecologic Oncologists (SGO)
A non-profit, international organization made up of obstetricians and gynecologists specializing in gynecologic oncology. Its purpose is to improve the care of women with gynecologic cancer, to raise standards of practice in gynecologic oncology and to encourage on-going research.
