I see all these advertisements on TV and wanted to know if I need to get a lawyer if I have mesothelioma?

Answer

Joe Friedberg, MD, Thoracic Surgeon at Penn Medicine, responds:

If you have mesothelioma, you need to see a doctor as your first order of business. It is probably a good idea to speak with a lawyer regarding your diagnosis, but that is not your main priority when first diagnosed with mesothelioma.
