Purpose

Parenteral nutrition is infused directly into your bloodstream and provides you with the same nutrients you would receive if you were eating. The TPN solution contains protein, carbohydrates, fat, vitamins, minerals, electrolytes, and fluids which your body needs to maintain its many functions.

Your TPN solution has been designed by your doctor and the Nutrition Support Team to meet your special nutritional and fluid needs.
