Going on the Pump

  1. Wipe injection site with an alcohol swab. Let dry.
  2. Remove the protective cover from the end of the threaded cannula at the tubing and screw into the injection site. Never touch the tip of the tubing or catheter.
  3. Loop the catheter and re-tape to dressing.
  4. See Mechanisms for Administration for details on how to work your specific pump.
