The The Abramson Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania is delighted to present the second Confronting Cancer Through Art exhibition. This extraordinary event gives vision and voice to the experiences of those who have confronted cancer.

The courage of families, friends and patients inspires us to continue our efforts at finding a cure. As we come to understand more about cancer, we come closer to our goal. But along the way, we have learned that our triumphs are not just in the laboratory, but in the faces of our patients as they portray the essence of grace, strength and determination. We feel privileged to care for them and their families.

We are grateful to the Arthur Ross Gallery for presenting these works. And we thank Nancy, Bruce, Patricia, Ian, and all the artists who shared their stories, talent, and vision. We are also most appreciative of the continued support and inspiration of Vivian and Meyer P. Potamkin.
