Treatment plan

A summary of the treatment plan for CTV1 is shown to the right.

Note that large targets often require two fields per gantry angle because the length of the leaves on a Varian MLC limits the width of all IM fields to 14 cm. Two fields at a single gantry angle are treated side-by-side

Note that targets which project to a width less than 14 cm can be treated with one field.

Time to treat = 30-60 sec./field
